Florida is a lot bigger than the theme parks suggest, running from the panhandle's quiet beaches down through Miami's nightlife to the coral reefs of the Keys.

Orlando's parks, Disney World and Universal chief among them, are still the main draw for a huge share of visitors. Miami runs on Art Deco architecture and Cuban food in roughly equal measure. Further south, the Keys turn into a string of islands connected by a single highway that crosses open ocean for miles at a time.

Humidity is a factor almost everywhere from late spring through early fall.
