This Privacy Policy explains what information TravelCore collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It covers the account, review, photo, and destination-suggestion features described below.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and password, stored securely by WordPress, never in plain text.
Content you submit. Reviews, star ratings, photos, suggested edits, ownership claims, and suggested new Places, along with any details you include in those submissions such as business name, phone number, or verification details for claims.
Usage information. Which Places you save, which trips you create, and basic activity needed to operate the moderation queues, such as timestamps and submission status.
Cookies. Standard WordPress session cookies to keep you logged in, and cookies used by the search box to avoid duplicate requests. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
How We Use Information
We use the information above to operate the site: to display your reviews and photos once approved, and to let you manage saved Places and trips.
We also use it to review submissions before they go live, and to send you an email when a submission of yours is approved or rejected. Our editorial team is notified when something new needs review.
What Gets Shared Publicly
Once approved, your review, including your display name, star rating, and any attached photo, becomes publicly visible on the relevant Place page.
Suggested edits, claims, and new-Place suggestions are reviewed privately and do not display your personal contact details publicly. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
Your Choices
You can update your account details at any time from your account page. To request that your account or submitted content be deleted, contact us at the email address below.
Data Retention
We retain account and submission records for as long as your account is active, or as needed to operate the moderation and audit features described above.
Children’s Privacy
TravelCore is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.
