Ohio

Ohio splits its identity across three fairly different cities: Cleveland on Lake Erie, Columbus in the middle, and Cincinnati on the Kentucky border.

Cleveland has the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame right on the lakefront. Columbus, the capital, has grown into a real food and startup city without losing its Midwest pricing. Cincinnati is known for its own style of chili, served over spaghetti, which surprises almost everyone who tries it for the first time.

It's an easy state to underestimate and a fairly quick one to get wrong opinions changed in.
