Frank Raines Regional Park

A Stanislaus County regional park roughly 20 miles west of downtown Patterson up Del Puerto Canyon Road, with off-highway vehicle trails, campgrounds, and a hiking trail through the foothills of the Diablo Range. It's genuinely a different kind of experience than anything in town, a real canyon-country outdoor destination rather than a city park, and it draws OHV riders and campers from across the Central Valley rather than just Patterson residents. The drive out Del Puerto Canyon Road is itself part of the appeal, a scenic, winding route through ranch land and foothills that most visitors passing through on Interstate 5 never see.
