Horseshoe Road Recreation Area

Part of the Stanislaus River Parks "string of pearls," a chain of quiet riverside spots along the lower Stanislaus River near Oakdale, with picnic areas and a trailhead. It's one of the less-visited spots on the river compared to Jacob Myers Park, which makes it a good choice if you specifically want a quieter riverside experience without the crowds of the more developed parks.
