Patterson Historical Museum

Run by the Patterson Township Historical Society out of a restored building on West Las Palmas Avenue, this museum documents the town's apricot-farming roots with photographs, farm equipment, and artifacts from early 20th-century Stanislaus County. Exhibits trace Patterson's shift from open ranchland into orchard country, and the collection includes memorabilia from Apricot Fiestas going back to the 1970s. It's open weekends and by appointment, staffed entirely by local volunteers who are often happy to share stories that don't make it into the exhibit cases. Admission is free, though donations support the historical society's ongoing preservation work.
